Criminal Mischief and Arson Defense Attorney

An individual will be charged with Criminal Mischief when he or she damages property of another person.  The punishment for and severity of a Criminal Mischief charge depends on the amount of damage done by the accused.  Criminal Mischief can be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony and punishment can involve prison time in certain circumstances.

When the damage done to property was caused by fire or an explosion, the government may choose to charge Arson.  Arson can be charged in the first or second degree, depending on what property was damaged.  In either case, Arson can result in a prison sentence.
